Daniel Mercer

Giuseppe Costa is the Lead Firearms Instructor with a strong foundation in defensive shooting

and real-world application. He is a Certified Instructor through the USCCA and the NRA, with

more than ten years of combined shooting and teaching experience. Giuseppe previously

served as a School Resource Officer and is a licensed D&G Security professional, bringing

practical safety expertise and defensive insight into every class he teaches.

Giuseppe attended and qualified in the red dot instructor course with Sage Dynamics and

regularly trains at an elite level, having completed coursework with more than 20 of the nation’s

top instructors. His continued education includes training with Scott Jedlinski, Travis Haley,

Aaron Cowan, Jared Reston, Chris Hill Thunderbolt Defense, Bob Vogel, Frank Proctor, and Jon

Dufresne of Kinetic Consulting. His instruction focuses on concealed carry, speed, and

efficiency—equipping students not just to pass a qualification, but to build confident, repeatable

skills they can rely on when it matters most.

Robert Mitchell is a retired veteran of the United States Navy with over 21 years of dedicated

service and a seasoned background in fundamental and practical shooting techniques.

Throughout his military career, he earned numerous qualifications with crew-served weapons

and completed Security Reaction Force team training. Robert is certified through the NRA as a

Chief Range Safety Officer and as a Pistol and Rifle Instructor, bringing extensive professional

credentials to his role on the range.

Robert has refined his shooting skills through both military service and the civilian firearms

industry, developing a strong back-to-basics teaching philosophy that serves students from

beginner to professional levels. He specializes in shotgun instruction, emphasizing safe gun

handling, solid fundamentals, and practical application to build confident, capable shooters.

Audrey Benassi is a firearms instructor specializing in women’s self-defense and concealed

carry training. She brings a disciplined, well-rounded training background, having completed

intensive handgun and tactical coursework with respected organizations including Haley

Strategic, Franck Proctor, and Jared Seagraves, along with over 100 hours of private

move-and-shoot training with Giuseppa Costa.


Audrey focuses on practical, real-world defensive skills that emphasize awareness, movement,

and sound decision-making under stress. Her teaching style is supportive, confidence-building,

and approachable for shooters of all experience levels. She is passionate about helping women

feel capable, informed, and empowered to take ownership of their personal safety.

Ryan Sellner is a firearms instructor with a strong foundation in military and professional

shooting training. He is an NRA Certified Instructor and a United States Marine Corps veteran,

having served five years as an 0341 Infantry Mortarman. Throughout his service, Ryan

consistently qualified as Expert with both rifle and pistol and refined his skills through

disciplined, combat-focused marksmanship training.


Ryan completed advanced infantry courses emphasizing shooting, movement, and

communication in both CQB and rural environments, and later served as a Foreign Weapons

Instructor, training and mentoring hundreds of Marines. His instruction today emphasizes safety,

fundamentals, consistency, and real-world application, helping shooters build confidence and

practical skill at every level.

Roberto Aponte is a firearms instructor with over 32 years of experience in the security field

and more than 22 years as an NRA instructor. He brings a strong technical foundation to his

teaching through formal training in gunsmithing, providing students with a deep understanding

of firearms mechanics, function, and safety.


Roberto offers instruction in Basic Pistol for Florida CCW license applicants in both English and

Spanish, as well as individual and group classes tailored to each student’s experience level. His

credentials include NRA Chief Range Safety Officer, multiple NRA instructor certifications in

pistol, rifle, and personal protection, and advanced defensive and law enforcement firearm

training. He is also certified in Active Shooter Response (AVIRT) and provides specialized

USPSA matches, bringing a performance-driven and fundamentals-based approach to his

Arthur Terechtchouk is a certified firearms instructor at Apex Shooting Center, specializing in

defensive firearms training and precision marksmanship. He holds NRA certification as a Pistol

Instructor and has further developed his skills through advanced training, including Haley

Strategic’s Disruptive Science (D5) program.
